Tommy Atkin

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of THOMAS (TOMMY) JAMES ATKIN, age 64 of Sarnia. Dear father of Melissa O’Mahony and her husband John and Scott Atkin and his wife Angelina, loving son of Marjorie and the late Kenneth (Duffy) Atkin, grandfather of Devin and Victoria Dabanovich, Sapphire and Charlotte O’Mahony, Carter Atkin and Ayden McKay, brother of Mary Rivers and husband Steve and Bill Atkin and wife Sue, step-father of Paul and James Norman. He was predeceased by his loving wife Janet Norman. Tom was a man steeped in character and personality. He was also a true friend to many and there is now such a deep void in so many lives with his passing. Tom was generous, quick witted, entertaining,and gracious. He always had an open door to his home. Tom was a confidante to many and never one to judge or disparage. He called it like it was and lived his life his own way. His way was fun, easy going, care free at times and always showed love towards others. Funeral Services will be held at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Thursday, August 9th at 1:00 pm. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Memorial donations made to the Sunshine Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
