Alice Shakespeare

 Our Mum, Alice Shakespeare has passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2022.  Her brother and sister in law - Arthur and Doris Barton in England will miss the weekly phone calls.   She will be greatly missed by Lynda Syer (Shakespeare) husband Paul Syer (deceased).  Loved by granddaughter Jennifer Syer and grandson Jeff  and his family wife Lindsay and great-grandchildren Ella and Brynn.  Also will be greatly missed by Jude Shakespeare-Neely and husband Gord Neely Sr.  
Our Mum was very gracious kind, helpful, friendly, funny and oh so very smart. She enriched the lives of most who knew her.  Our mum had a great sense of humour as did our Dad, so as kids there was lots of laughter.  Mum lived a good life arriving in Canada from England with Judy and Lynda in 1956.  Mum soon had a job at “The Bay” in the accounting department.  Many years later The Bay closed and she found other jobs she loved and retired at 65.
Our Dad arrived in Canada six month prior to our arrival.  We all lived in Brights Grove for a number of years and eventually moved to Sarnia.
As mentioned Mum had a great sense of humour and later on in our lives after Dad’s passing the three of us would travel quite often.  Lots of fun and laughter while travelling.
Our Mum lived life to the fullest not letting COPD or a heart attack on her 65 birthday ..she was determined to keep up with her daughters.  We will miss our Mum dearly..she was our best friend and we will love and thank her for her love, laughter, guidance,  kindness, wisdom and your positive outlook on life and hopefully we have inherited those wonderful qualities.

Private cremation arrangements have taken place.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
