Ann Maxted

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Ann Maxted, nee Houghton. Ann passed peacefully in her sleep at Trillium Villa, Sarnia on June 2, 2025; 7 days short of her 93rd birthday. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Roy Maxted, her parents Beatrice & Ernest Houghton, her sisters Mary Wray and Joan Mattinson. Ann is survived by her children, Jill (Richard Zimmer), Susan (Kevin White), Kay (Simon Elbourne), Ann Maxted, Mary (Earl Birdsong) and Paul (Angelina) Maxted, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many thanks to the staff at Trillium Villa and Dr. John O’Mahony. Ann was an avid crafter, quilter and knitter, and was active in the CNIB and IODE. Private cremation arrangements have taken place.
