It is with heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Barbara (Barb, Barbie) Anne Cross, age 62 of Sarnia on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was born in Sarnia on May 1st, 1963, and was the daughter of the late Robert (1983) and Jessie Cross (2016) and sister of the late David Cross (1984). She will be dearly missed by her sister Andrea (Lori), sister-in-law Georgina, niece Amanda, nephew Ryan (Sam), great nephew and niece Nathan and Lyla and her many friends along the way. 

Barb was so very devoted to her family. She enjoyed and cherished every moment spent together. She was always such a positive person, greeting everyone with that big smile. She had a wonderful laugh and a cracker sense of humour.

Barbara loved and supported the Arts and was a very talented artist herself, which she would downplay. Her love of photography, quilting, sewing, needlework, knitting and anything creative brought a smile to her face as well as others who received her loving gifts. One of Her favorite colours was purple “that feeling of Royalty!” She had a real love for books of many genre’ but especially the historical period, her favorite being Jane Austen and anything to do with Downton Abby. Barb spent many seasons supporting and cheering The Sarnia Sting and being ever the optimist, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and The Blue Jays. We will never forget her patience, love, kindness and support, always putting others first and always seeing the best in people.

A Celebration of Barbara will be held 

Wednesday May 28th 11:30am – 2:30pm 

At the Sarnia Riding Club, 980 Riding Club Lane

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada Sarnia-Lambton Chapter, The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a special charity of your choice.
