Barry Charles Chard

April 14, 1945 — May 18, 2015

On Monday, May 18, 2015, Barry Charles Chard, age 70, passed away suddenly at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Barry was the son of the late Dorothy and Harold Chard. Brother to Bonnie Hugill (Tom) of Burlington, Robert Chard of Sarnia and Doug Chard (Donna) of London. Although his death was sudden he received wonderful care from the Palliative Care Staff, for which the family would like to thank. He was born in Toronto on April 14, 1945. Barry spent his time volunteering at the White Cane Society and was liked by all that knew him. He had a caring demeanor with a passion for singing and playing the guitar. Barry will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews: Jane, Dave, Laina and Aidan Don; Brad, Lesley, Emily and Grace Hugill; Ryan, Jessica, Taylor and Mitchell Chard. A Celebration of Barry's life will be held at St. Bartholomew's Anglican church on Saturday September 19th at 12:00 noon followed by a light luncheon. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated as these charities meant the most to Barry. Arrangements are entrusted to the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre of Sarnia and memories messages and condolences may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
