Cecil Dennisford Popen

At Sumac Lodge on Monday, December 8, 2025, Cecil Dennisford Popen, age 87 of Sarnia passed away. Dennis leaves behind to mourn his loss, his loving wife Faye, his dear daughters Denise Trojan (Jim) and Stephanie Cumming (Fred), adored grandchildren Danielle (Scott), Carrissa, Nicholas and Alysha and two great-grandchildren, and brothers Iva Popen (Pauline) and Gary Kameka. He is predeceased by his daughter Audrey Popen, brothers Allen, Ernest, Leonard and Albert Popen, and sisters Rose Kameka, Merline Kameka and Ivy Brown. He was born in Jamaica and came to Canada in his early 20’s and travelled and experienced life in Canada and then met and married Faye in 1968 in Sarnia. If you knew Dennis, you were loved by him. He had a passion for gardening and enjoyed sharing it with everybody. A funeral service will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral on Friday, December 12th at 11:00 am. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Friday morning at 10:00 am until the service time.
