Darlyle Diane Woods

Peacefully on Wednesday August 20, 2025, Darlyle Woods (Hodgins) of Sarnia ON passed away at the age of 79. She is survived by her loving husband Kent Woods, they were married July 31st, 1971.

Predeceased by her parents Twyla and Carlyle Hodgins. Survived by her brother John Hodgins (Diane), her brother in law Wayne Woods (Karen, Michelle) and sister in law Wendy Coulbeck (Keith, Corin, Cameron Coulbeck).

Dear friend to and will be missed by Sharon Stewart, her children and grandchildren and she was known as cherished aunt Dee Dee to Amy Zavitz (Kip), Mark Stewart (Cheryl), Mike Stewart (Lindsey) and Jeff Stewart (Cassie).

Darlyle was a Bell Operator for 30yrs until her retirement, a job which she greatly loved. Together with her husband Kent they enjoyed travels around the world, travelling from Africa to Alaska with many other wonderful trips in between. She was an avid reader as well as crocheting, making her famous "Aunt DD" slippers. Her most loved time of year was Christmas when she would have her home decorated in Santa's and homemade chocolates waiting. She enjoyed many shopping trips, having coffee and lots of adventures with her friend Sharon.

Many special thanks to the care from Trillium Villa Nursing Home. Donations can be made to the Sarnia Humane Society https://www.sarniahumanesociety.com in remembrance of her beloved cat Buddy. Private graveside service will be held at a later date.
