Dora Frances Kaija

KAIJA, DORA – The family sadly announces the passing on Sunday, July 1, 2018, of Dora Frances (Dawson) Kaija, age 88 of Sarnia. She was the dear wife of the late Bruno Kaija (2013) and dear mother and grandmother of Jane Kaija (John) and their children Leesa (Rik) and Joshua (Keatha), Bruce Kaija (Jill) and their children Jenni (Kyle), Janet (Ethan), Brian and Paul, Leesa Anderson (Keith) and their children Celia (Jeff) and their daughter Sydney and son Andrew and Rachel (James). She is the sister of Annie Stoner and Irma Bannister. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Dora Dawson, and her brother Harry Dawson. Dora worked in Radiology for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Sarnia and Mercy Hospital in Port Huron. She loved her Bassett Hounds and her walks with friends. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., N7T 5W9, Sarnia) on Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Memorial donations made to the Sarnia Humane Society or the Bluewater Centre for Raptor Rehabilitation (BCRR) would be appreciated by the family.
