Elevtheria "Vicky" Satlabanis

Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Friday June 20, 2025, ELEVTHERIA “VICKY” SATLABANIS passed away at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Tom Satlabanis for 60 years after their anniversary on June 18th. Loving mother of Linda Arndt and her husband Frank, Mary Johnson and her husband Scott and John Paskalis Satlabanis (Amanda Harte). Cherished grandmother of Jason Arndt, Victoria (Jason) Mercer, Lindsay (Josh) Harper, Nick Johnson, Gabriel Johnson and Angelina, Alex and Stella Satlabanis. Great-grandmother of Melodie, Octavia and Sabastian Arndt and Charlotte and Bowie Mercer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews here and in Greece. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Maria and all 6 of her siblings.

Family was everything to her. She always opened her home to all family and friends. Forever the gracious hostess. She loved to cook and it seemed to be her mission to feed as many as she could. A visit to her house was never just a cup of coffee or a cold refreshment. It always was a meal of extravagant proportions. She also loved to garden. Her backyard gardens were a testament to the many variety of roses and flowers that she loved. Her vegetable garden kept the household in cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers well into the fall. Her favourite hobby was crocheting. There wasn’t a tablecloth or blanket pattern that she would not tackle.

Resting at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St. Sarnia) where visitation will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2025 between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1299 Murphy Rd, Sarnia) on Wednesday June 25, 205 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
