Ernest Albert Popen

Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Tuesday June 5, 2018 ERNEST (ERNIE) ALBERT POPEN at the age of 85.  Beloved husband of the late Grace (Worton) Popen (1986).  Loving father of Cecilia Popen, Michelle Loxton, Patricia (James) Hambach, Robert (Cheri) Popen, Leonard (Laurie-Beth Blain) Popen and  Victoria Popen.  Cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to a whole lot of grandchildren.  Also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Albert and Ethel Popen of Jamaica and daughters Angela Popen and Katrinia (Darrell) Goudreau.  Ernie retired from the Sarnia General Hospital after 28 years of service.  Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at the Moose Lodge on Sunday June 10th from noon until 3:00 p.m.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
