February 18, 1949 — August 7, 2025

Sarnia

GEORGE, EVELINE - At Bluewater Health on Thursday, August 7, 2025, Eveline Gertrude (Bode) George, age 76 of Sarnia passed away. She was the loving wife of 53 years to Ronald Joseph George, dear mother of Kyle and Josh (Meagan) George, and grandmother of Hunter, Shaun, Dax and Zoe. She was proud of her sons and grandchildren. She also very much loved her dog Chance. Eveline was a teacher with the Lambton/Kent School Board for 32 years before her retirement. She loved going to auctions, she loved dancing, she loved shopping and going to Thrift Stores. She was also a great cook. Eveline had trouble walking for the last 2 or 3 years and had found out in February that she had been suffering from the effects of A.L.S.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at London University Hospital and Sarnia Bluewater Health for their care of her. We would also like to thank my sisters and family for their support and a special thanks to our daughter in law Meagan, who made and attended all of her doctor appointments, and our friend Elif, for the great rice pudding she made for Eveline while she was in the hospital, eating rice pudding was a real joy for her.

The private arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia, ON., N7T 5W9. Memorial donations in Eveline’s memory to the ALS Foundation of Canada at  https://donate.als.ca/p2p/site/epSWg/als_landing#  would be appreciated. Expressions of condolence and personal memories of Eveline can be sent to www.djrobb.on.ca
