Frank Birkhead

Birkhead, Frank – With his loving family by his side on Monday, August 22, 2022, Frank Birkhead, age 93 of Sarnia, passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health.  He was the loving husband of the late Shirley (Wilson) Birkhead (2008) and the much beloved father of David Birkhead (Colleen) and Diana Birkhead. Cherished grandfather of Adam Decan, Nicholas and Craig.  Brother of May Grace, Frank was predeceased by his sisters; Alice Hobson (Dennis) Mary Fleetwood (Bill), Lily Rolfe (Dennis) and Brother Tom (Margaret). Frank enjoyed his 24 year career as a professional engineer and ultimately as Plant Manager of Holmes Foundry. At home he was a master fixer.  Whether it were electrical, mechanical, plumbing, wood-working – whatever was blowing up, Frank could fix and he was always kept amply busy. His family could not have been blessed with a kinder, more loving, caring and good-natured gentleman and he will be very sorely missed by all that knew him. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Arthritis Society.  The arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., N7T 5W9, Sarnia).
