Gerry Haslip

At Marshall Gowland Manor on Monday, October 15, 2012, GERRY WAYNE HASLIP, age 75, of Sarnia, beloved husband for the past 56 years of Gail (Bulman) Haslip. Dear father of Terry Haslip and his wife Carol of Brigden, Lori Trew of Sarnia and Rick Haslip and his wife Judy of Wisconsin. Loving grandfather of Stacy Beattie and her husband Mike and Shawn Haslip and his wife Maggie, Emily Haslip and Alexandra Haslip. Great-grandfather of Makyla & Lexi, Amelia, Willow and Eleanor. Dear brother of Jim Haslip and his wife Hennie of Point Edward. A lifelong Sarnia area resident, Mr. Haslip was very active in local sporting circles. During the 1960's he served as the goalie for the Point Edward Beavers Lacrosse team. A retired sheet metal worker, he was a member of the St. Clair Parkway Golf Club, was a certified scuba diver and was a past member of the local Judo Club. Cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment of ashes will take place at Lakeview Cemetery on Thursday, October 18 th. with Angela MacDonald officiating. The family welcome you to join with them in celebrating Gerry's life at the BEST WESTERN GUILDWOOD INN (Guildhall and Patio), 1400 Venetian Blvd. on Thursday afternoon between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society.
