Gertrude Isobel Attwater

ATTWATER, GERTRUDE – Peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Gertrude Isobel (Burnard) Attwater of Sarnia, passed away at the age of 97. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry (2015) and Charles Burnard (1992). She was the loving mother of Herbert (1996), Donald Burnard (Felicity), Gerald Burnard (Barbara) and daughter in law Elaine Burnard (Al Corbett). She was the step-mother of Ralph (Heather) and Clive Attwater and the cherished grandmother of Brenda (Mark), Brad (Wanda), David (Karen), Nicole (Bruce), Darcy (Holly), Dale (Charmaine), Sam (Tracey) and Aaron (Robin). She was an adored great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She also leaves behind her sister Mary Kahler of Louisville, KY., and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Flora Trott, sisters Doris Smith, Ellen Pegg and brother Robert Trott. Gertrude loved to travel, was a competitive card player, enjoyed golfing and especially enjoyed the many winters at American Cove in Florida. Our offer our sincere thanks to Beth and the staff at Trillium Villa for their kind care of our mother for the past five years. Visitation will begin at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9) on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at noon and will be followed by the funeral service starting at 1:30 pm. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial donations made in memory of Gertrude to the Sarnia/Lambton-White Cane Society, 200 Lochiel St. N.
