Hazel Elizabeth Chivers

CHIVERS, HAZEL - Hazel Elizabeth Chivers, (Liz), passed away peacefully on Monday July 2, 2018 just short of her 90th birthday. She was born August 13, 1928 to Frederick & Pearl (Essey) Cuthbertson in Petrolia Ontario. She is survived by son Chuck Chivers, his wife Sonja Gould their children, DJ Gould, Jaime and Collin Morton, Jason and Jenna Gould and Michaela Chivers, her son Ed Chivers and brother Bruce Cuthbertson, as well many nieces and nephews in both the Chivers & Cuthbertson families.  She was predeceased by husband Robert Chivers, her parents, and siblings Marion McCrea, Donald Cuthbertson, Jack Cuthbertson, and Kathleen Hooftman. Liz was a lifelong learner earning her Bachelors of Arts in History in 2001 at the age of 72 from University of Western Ontario. She was an avid golfer with her golf partner Marion McCrea at her side and bridge player. We want to thank the staff of Bluewater Health Palliative Care Team for the wonderful care she received. Visitation will be on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9 pm and again on Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 1pm prior to the service to be held at 2:00 pm from the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., N7T 5W9, Sarnia). Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
