"Herb" Philip Chappelle

CHAPPELLE, "Herb" Philip - Peacefully surrounded by family at Bluewater Health on Thursday, February 1, 2018, Herb Chappelle passed away from a brief battle with cancer at the age of 66. Beloved husband to Yvonne Chappelle. Loving father to Herb Jr. Chappelle, the late Sean Chappelle, the late Brent Chappelle, Jolene (Randy) Hall, the late Tina Devost, Mike Smythe, Joe (Nicky) Smythe, Cory (Danielle) Chappelle, Dylan Chappelle and Hollie Chappelle. Herb was born September 18, 1951 and he was a loving son to Mary Wadsworth and the late Philip Chappelle. He was a loyal brother to David (Marilyn), the late Patricia (the late Cliff), Joanne, Beverly and the late Dawn. Adored by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In early adulthood, Herb was a boilermaker and then a cab driver for United Taxi for most of his life. He loved watching Legionnaires hockey, being outdoors with Yvonne and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow up. He loved animals and always had dogs. Friends will be received by D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME (102 Victoria Street North, Sarnia) Monday evening 7-9pm on the 12th of February. The funeral will be held at D.J. Robb Funeral Home at 11 am on Tuesday the 13th of February.
