Ilona Diann Hawkes

Peacefully passed away at home February 21, 2022 at the age of 62.

Beloved wife of Ron Hawkes.

Loving Mother of Kirsten Heisler (Jordan). Dear Grammy of Sophie, Nash and Levi.

Sister to Erika Hill.

Predeceased by her parents Unto and Rita Koski, and her brother Kenneth.

Ilona enjoyed travelling, sewing, crocheting and her cats. She especially enjoyed visits with her grandchildren. Travelling to Europe was a highlight for her in the last few years where in Finland she finally met Lotta,  a penpal of 47 years.

Ilona was a member of the Wyoming Lioness Club and Belle River Lions Club.

Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Humane Society or Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Private cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Life / Open house will take place March 5 from 1-4pm at 3651 Oil Springs Line, Oil Spring's, ON.
