It is with profound sadness that the family of Ina Sharon Harris (nee Brown) announce her peaceful passing, with family by her side, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the age of 84. Ina was the loving wife of the late Melvin Laurence Harris (2007) and dear mother of Ron (Kara Rutledge) Brown, Todd (Lisa Ward) Harris, and Kim McCann. Grandmother of David McCann, Jessica (Rob) Capes, Trevor (Stephanie) Harris, Brittany (Alex) Marchbank, and Connor (Nicole Jenkins) Harris and great grandmother of Hailey Marchbank, Paisley, Payton and Nash Capes, and Kayla and Cheyenne Jenkins. Ina was predeceased by her sisters Sara “Sally” (late Ron) Duncan, Judie (late Allan) Bloomfield, and Ellen “Maureen/Moe” Brown.
Left behind are her dear nieces Laurie (Richard Smith) Bloomfield, Christine Skinner, Nancy (Tim) Lyon, Susan (late Mike) McGrath, Mav MacKellar and nephew Tom (Lori) Duncan. Also her great nieces Katie Bloomfield-Smith, Amanda (Todd) Pepper, Megan (Mat) Bremner, Rachel McGrath, great nephews Adam (Jillian) Duncan, Keith (Kristy) Lyon, Kyle (Brooke) Skinner, Ryan (Jessica) Skinner, Davis McGrath, and Avery Dennis, and many great-great nieces and nephews. Sadly, she was predeceased by nephews Scott Bloomfield and Robert Dennis.
Ina had a special place in her heart for her cat companions, Chloe, Sandy, and especially Bowser, who was forever in her heart.
Ina worked for H&R Block for over 25 years during tax season, but when she met new people and they asked about her occupation she always answered she was a hairdresser, a past career that she loved.
Ina enjoyed sewing and quilting, bowling, going to garage sales, the casino, and hanging out with her sisters, fondly known as the Apple Dumpling Gang. Sunday dinners and pool-side gatherings were treasured times with family. We love you, Ina, and will hold you in our hearts always.
Her family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor’s Ivy Lane neighbourhood for the exceptional care and support provided to Ina over the last seven years.
A celebration of life for family and friends will take place in Sarnia later this summer.
Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca. If desired, memorial donations in memory of Ina may be made to the Sarnia & District Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Society.
