John Francis Corkum

January 17, 1943 — March 26, 2021

It is with great sorrow and many tears to announce the death of John Francis Corkum.  Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to parents Frank (1983) and Marie (2007)   Born January 17, 1943. John died at Bluewater Health Friday, March 26, 2021 with his family by his side.  John is survived by his wife, Beverly, Daughter Julie (John) Bedard and Son Donald.  Poppa to Ashley (Chris) Radychewsky, and Nicholas and Kristina Bedard.  Great Poppa to Clayla, Cade, Kol, Ven and Elara Radychewsky and Jackson Bedard.  Sister Elaine Flemming in Nova Scotia, Marieanne (David) Irwin in Kincardine.  Brother Richard (Cathy) in Corunna, Sister-in-law Nancy Corkum. Many sweet nieces and handsome nephews. Many in-laws “it was a great life.”  Dear friend Joe Badduke.  Predeceased by Brothers Stephen, Robert (Linda).  Sisters Mary Walker (Bud Clarke), Marlene Joseph Corkum-Kelena. Stepmother Leota and Great Granddaughter Nylah-twin sister of Cade. John came to Sarnia for a 3 month job and stayed in 1965.  Although John and Bev loved the going home every September for the whole month.  John was a proud member of Local 663. John and Beverly were married July 16, 1966 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. “May the stars carry your sadness away, may the flowers fill your heart with beauty, may hope forever wipe away your tears, and above all, may silence make you strong.” A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9.  Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca.
