Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on November 3, 2016 with her family by her side. Judy was born in Winnipeg in 1938 to the late Jack and Betty Elshout. Predeceased by her beloved son Todd, her step father H. S. (Bus) Lockwood and Bill Cully her first husband (1969). She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Peter, her loving sons and daughters in law Mark (Kathy) and David (Tracey), her grandchildren Alex (Nadia Botha), Ryan (Alanna Holz), Nicholas, Amanda (Jim Harding), Andrea, Amber, great-granddaughter Alana Harding and sisters Jackie (Nelson Linam), Sarasota, Fl. and Jocy (Craig Young), Rochester NY. Judy was a lifelong golfer who had a passion for the game and loved to play with her many cherished golfing friends in both Sarnia and Arizona. In 2013 she was given the Bernie Masters Award as a most respected lady golfer at the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club. She enjoyed card games but Bridge was special. She had a flare for fashion, decorating and crafts. She loved animals and was never without a dog. She was a longtime sorority sister in Beta Sigma Phi and was a past board member of the Sarnia chapter of Heart and Stroke Foundation. She was involved in the establishment of the first and second Tim Horton stores opened in Sarnia where she was franchise/owner in 1978/84. Judy had an engaging personality and was unforgettable. She had many close and dear friends and will be truly missed by everyone she touched. The family thank the doctors and staff at Bluewater Health for their wonderful care and compassion during Judy’s time there. A special thanks goes out to our brother in law Dr. Michael King (retired) and his wife Joyce who took the time to help and be with our family during this difficult time. They truly are an amazing and one of a kind couple. A celebration of life reception will be held at the Sarnia Golf and & Curling Club on Saturday, May 27th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. If desired, donations to the Bluewater Health Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
