It is with deep regret that the family of Kevin “Cujo” Albert James, announce his unexpected passing at home on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 57. Loving son of the late Verda James (1976). Grandson of the late Madeline and Albert Claude James. Nephew of the late Vernetta Wrightman. He is survived by his many cousins and extended family members. Cherished and loved by his family and extended family of the late Milford Riley. Will be greatly missed by all who knew him and who had good times with Cuj. Cuj was very proud of his community and his continued teachings of his native heritage. Cuj was a survivor of the 60’s Scoop and as a result of this was adopted by the Forbes family.  This was part of his life that he had yet to reconcile with. Cuj was his happiest when interacting with his close friends and will be forever missed. He loved and cherished all the little people of Aamjiiwnaag, always giving them a high five or a fist bump. Cuj was also an avid baseball fan and a sideline coach. He will be missed cheering from the bleacher stands. And always with a bubbly pop in hand. A funeral service will be held at the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community and Youth Centre (1972 Virgil Avenue, Sarnia, Ontario) on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Interment to follow at Aamjiwnaang First Nation Cemetery. Donations in memory of Kevin can be made to the Aamjiwnaang Men’s Group.
