At Bluewater Health - Norman St. Site on Thursday, January 1, 2009, LESLIE HENRY MORRIS, age 93, of Sarnia, beloved husband of the late Kathryn Ruth (Sole) Morris (1996). Survived by loyal friend and care giver, Anne Marie Noyle. Dear father of Richard Morris and his wife Jackie of Arizona and Ronald Morris and his wife Judy of Sarnia. Dear grandfather of Kevin, Michelle and her husband Sean, Sonya and her husband Bob, Sandra and her husband Colin and great-grandfather to Jacob, Joshua, and Brooklyn. Also survived by nephews Paul, Tom and Barry. Pre-deceased by his parents Elizabeth and Henry Morris, a brother Cal and a sister Elsie. A longtime Sarnia area resident, Les founded and operated Les Morris Beverages for many years. He served in the Air Force as a Navigator attaining the rank of Sergeant with a war medal. Past president of the Lions Club. He was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church and served as a missionary in Aruba and Korea. He was a church planter for Calvary Baptist Church, Brigden. Les also served as an interim Pastor with several surrounding churches and was an honorary lifetime member of the Gideons. His passion for life and for the Lord brought joy to many people. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at TEMPLE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1410 Quinn Drive, on Sunday, January 11 th. at 3:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Gideons by telephone at 1-(888)-482-4253 or by cheque.
