Lloyd George Baird

BAIRD, LLOYD – At Twin Lakes Terrace on Thursday, September 28, 2017, Lloyd George Baird, age 92 of Sarnia passed away. He was the loving husband of the late Florence Marjorie Baird (1995) and dear father of Bruce Baird (Gigi) of Brampton and Donna Hobbs (John) of Victoria, grandfather of Sarah Hobbs, Barbara and Benjamin Baird. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Celia Baird, his sister Marion Scott, brothers Malcolm, Cedric and Roy. Lloyd was born in Fredericton, NB on January 28th, 1925. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1946 and came to Sarnia where he was employed at Polysar Corporation in a variety of laboratory positions and finally retired from the Patents Department in 1982 after 36 years of service. Friends may visit with the family at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Wednesday, October 4th between the hours of 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Dunlop United Church (757 Rosedale Ave. Sarnia) Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Bluewater Health Foundation, Dunlop United Church, Canadian Red Cross or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
