Madeline "Myrtle" Salter

SALTER, MYRTLE – Sadly, on Sunday February 5, 2017, Madeline “Myrtle” (Scott) Salter passed away at her condo in Sarnia in her 104th year. Dear Mother of Richard Lucas (Ilderton) and his wife Christina Hogan, sister to Barbara Brennan (Sarnia). Dear Grandmother of Janet (Mike), Steven (Justyna), Michelle, Shawn, Marcie & Todd. She was a great-grandmother to several grandchildren and will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her 1st husband James Wesley Lucas (1974) and her 2nd husband Wilfred  Douglas Salter (2008), her son Robert Wesley Lucas (2014), sisters Beryl Sutherland (1981), Lucy Wicks (2013) and brothers Stanley Scott (1998) Richard Scott (1927). Myrtle was born July 4, 1913 in Melita Manitoba. She gathered many friends over the years. She was well read and travelled to many different places. She was witty, smart and loved her bridge nights and talked often about her volunteer time with the Red Cross. As of late she enjoyed doing the daily Observer crossword puzzle, her Tim Hortons coffee time with her sister Barbara, her weekly visits with her son Richard and Sunday drives with grandnieces Carol and Lisa. Funeral Services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Saturday, February 11th at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
