Maiga Sketris

Maiga Sketris passed away peacefully on January 25, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax. She was the beloved wife of Karl (deceased), loving mother of Paul (Petra Laube) and Ingrid (Michael Poulton) and proud grandmother to Alex Poulton and Anton Sketris. Maiga enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking (known for her Christmas pudding) and especially hosting family reunions. She was a lifelong bridge player, playing with her Sarnia bridge partners for over 50 years. The family would like to invite her family and friends to a Celebration of Life Reception to be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St. It will begin at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022. All are invited to attend and share your memories of Maiga with us. For safety the family kindly asks those attending to please wear a mask.
