Merline Josephene Kameka

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their dear mother, Merline Josephene (nee Popen) Kameka at the age of 85, on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Predeceased by her dear husband Henry Augusta Kameka (2013).

Loving mother to Valerie Hamil (John), Trevor Kameka (Shelly) and Paul Kameka (Sonja).

Will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Mike Hamil (Miranda), Steve Hamil (Alicia Mac Donald), Dawson and Dylan Kameka  and the late Robert Hamil.

Survived by her brothers; Gary Kameka, Iver Popen (Pauline) Dennis Popen (Fay).

Also, predeceased by her parents Albert and Ethel (nee Kameka) Popen, sisters; Rose Kameka and her husband Edward, Ivy Brown and her husband Bernard and brothers; Ernest Popen and his wife Grace and Alan Popen and his wife Shirley.

Will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit with the family at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. (102 Victoria Street, North, Sarnia) on Wednesday June 29, 2022 between the hours of 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. on Thursday June 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
