SIMMONS, MICHAEL DAVID

With heavy and saddened hearts, the family of Michael Simmons announces his sudden passing on May 7th, 2021. Mike was born in Sarnia on August 26th, 1969. Michael was pre-deceased by his father Nick (2014). He is survived by his loving son Jerian (Oshawa), his Mother Eleanor, Brother Dean and Sister-in-Law Dee and family (Sarnia), Uncle Clarke and Aunt Doreen Wolff and family (Calgary). Mike had a personality big as all outdoors. In his youth he excelled at school in travel hockey, wrestling and music. He took up carpentry and helped in building many fine homes in Sarnia and Vancouver areas. His love for his son and mother knew no bounds. This love and laughter will help the family bridge the gap of his loss and will be cherished forever. Mike always had kind words and lent a helping hand to all. He is now at peace. The family would like to thank Sarnia EMS, Sarnia Police, the staff and doctors and nurses in the Emergency Department at Bluewater Health who helped care for Michael. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would like any donations to be made in Mike's name to the Inn of the Good Shepherd or the Canadian Mental Health (Lambton). Arrangements entrusted to the D.J.
