Myrna Kathleen Glass

With her brokenhearted family by her side, Myrna Kathleen (Murray) Glass, age 88 of Sarnia peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia. Myrna was the loving wife of Harold Glass (2005) and the dear mother of Bill Glass and his late wife Loretta, Joan and Peter Sparks, Jayne and Brian Patterson and Mitch and Daniela Glass, Adored grandmother of Angela and Katie Glass, P.J. Sparks (Linda), Bryan Patterson (Carissa), Brandon Patterson (Kayla), Christina, Joseph and Noah Glass, and 5 great-grandchildren. Sister of Gail Mullen and her late husband Mike, Robert Murray and his late wife Maxine, Lynn Steele and her late husband George. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Albert and Wilhelmina Murray, her siblings, Joyce (Dr. Dan Brown), Bill (Fran), Harry (Donna), her twin sister Marilyn and her dear friend Roland Budgell.

Myrna grew up on the family farm on LaSalle Line. She was a dedicated employee of Sears Department Store-Northgate, retiring after 23 years of service. She volunteered with Salvation Army Thrift Store, the Oncology Unit – Bluewater Health and the Cancer Society Daffodil Campaign. Myrna was a fabulous pie and butter tart baker and was fiercely patriotic and loved Canadiana.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Bluewater Health and St. Joseph’s Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of our mother.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Myrna’s life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9). Visitation will begin on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Interment will be held later at Sutherland Cemetery. For those wishing to do so, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Myrna’s memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice at https://www.stjosephshospice.ca/  or a charity of choice would be appreciated by her family.
