Nancy Anne Kerr

The Kerr family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Nancy Anne Kerr, age 76, on Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2023 after a three year fight against cancer. She was the loving wife of Robert "Bob" Kerr in their 57th year of marriage, dear mother of Pamela Kerr (Dennis McCaie) of Barnaby River, NB and Holly Kerr (Aziz Walji) of Toronto, sister of Allan Gunn of Calgary, sister in-law of Judy Farr (Wayne) of Sarnia, and predeceased by sister Barbara Ward (2019) (Steve) of Kingsville, her brother in-law Garry Kerr (2013), and her parents Bill and Shirley Gunn.

Nancy was a person who was loved by all who knew her, and always put others ahead of herself.  Nancy taught her daughters honesty, independence, and compassion by example. While her girls were in high school, she enrolled at the University of Western Ontario, achieving a BA through night classes, while working full-time, and volunteering her time to help others. A founding member and instructor of the local Taoist Tai Chi Society, her passion was guiding others through its graceful, healing movements. Her loud, infectious laugh, and nonjudgemental advice will be missed by many. Nancy could be found sharing a meal with someone from her extensive circle of friends, or curled up on the couch with a book.
