Nelson Conrad McPhedran
It is profound sorrow and sadness that the family of Nelson Conrad McPhedran, age 92, announces his passing at the Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Monday, July 4, 2022, with his family by his side. He was loving big brother to Daintry Adele Hardy and dear Uncle to Bruce Lynn Hardy (Georgina), Lonnie Lee Ostroski (Jack) and Scott Lyndsay Hardy (Annie), Loved Great Uncle of Diego, Lindsey, Brent, Kendra, Kerri, Nicholas and Patrick. Great-great Uncle to Matias, Quinton, Isadora, Rowan, Shealon, Monroe, Mirren, Matheson, Kennedy, Jack, Reese, Lawson, Connor and Chloe. He predeceased by his parents Nelson Kenneth and Kathleen Gertrude McPhedran (Lalonde) and brother-in-law Ralph Lyndsay Hardy. Conrad was a kind, gentle soul, known to many in the downtown area of Sarnia as he worked as a bartender for years at McPhee’s, The Colonial, and The Sarnia Hotel. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing baseball. He especially loved spending time with his family for Sunday dinners, trips to Tiger Stadium and Saturday afternoons at the Legion. He was a die-hard Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs fan. Cremation has taken place with a private memorial service to be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made in memory of Conrad to a charity of your choice.
