CHIVERS, PAUL – Respectfully the family is announcing the passing of Paul George Chivers of Sarnia on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Bluewater Health. He was a #1 Detroit Fan and on the team today is his wife Linda and his children Paula Hall, Kevin and Mandy Lester, his grandchildren Austin, Tylar and Braxtyn (MVP), Team Players Wayne and Mary Clemence, Bill and Heather Chivers, Phil and Laurie Egan, Mike and Jannine Spearman, Mascot Bullmastiff Max and cheering from the sidelines are his special friends Jim and Brenda Hardy and several nephews. No longer playing on the team are his parents Calvin and Catherine Chivers. Paul played the “Game of life “, especially the last 12 years full out. The final whistle has blown. Paul’s rules of the game: no flowers, just a celebration! Paul was a longtime employee of Dow Chemical and was a volunteer coach with Minor Sports, an International Silver Stick Marshall, Executive member of Local #672 and a member of the Point Edward Ex-Servicemen’s Association.  A celebration of Paul’s Life will be celebrated once the Covid-19 crisis allows. Charitable donations made in memory of Paul to Sarnia Humane Society or St. Joseph’s Hospice would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9). Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
