Peacefully at Vision Nursing Home with family by her side, Pauline Adrienne Mildred (Davies) Strickland passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 in her 91st. year. Beloved wife of John Strickland. Will be greatly missed by her daughter’s Shirley Horvath (Vic) of Sarnia and Audrey Sandrin (Doug) of Ayr. Treasured Nana of J.J. Conquergood (Sandy) of Corunna and Stacey (Matt) MacDougall of Oil Springs and Great Nannie of Madelyn, Meredith and Myles MacDougall. Survived by brother’s Maurice (Lee) Davies and John (Donna) Davies and brother in-law Ralph (Margaret) Strickland. Fondly remembered by niece Alexandra (Dave) McCabe as well many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and great nephews in Canada, U.S.A. England and New Zealand. Predeceased by her three sister’s Yvonne, Joan and Audrey and sister in-law Marie Gidley. Pauline loved her family and was very proud of all their achievements. Pauline enrolled and graduated from Lambton College in Accounting where she went on to work as secretary for the Boilermaker’s Union. Pauline was a member of Greenwood Golf Club for over 20 years and was thrilled when she made a hole in one while vacationing in Florida. In her retirement years she became an avid member of the Red Hat Society. Her other hobbies included many enjoyable hours on her home computer, designing calendars and cards, playing classical music on her piano, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She was in her element when organizing and hosting parties for her family and friends. The family wishes to thank the front line workers at Vision Nursing Home for the excellent care and compassion she received over the last 3 years. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place with interment of ashes at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J.
