Rev. Paul Norman Woolley

It is with great sadness that the family of Rev. Paul Norman Woolley announces his passing on 15 September 2026. 

Born March 18, 1949, he was the son of the late John and Florence Woolley and the beloved husband of the late Diane Woolley, who passed away in 2015. 

He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Chantal and Rachelle; his son-in-law, Chris; and his granddaughter, Ava. He is also remembered with love and affection by his longtime partner, Simone Lebel, and by her family, who were an important part of his later years.

 His life was marked by an extraordinary range of interests, careers, and contributions to his community. Science, music, and arts were lifelong passions, and in his younger years he worked as a DJ and also harnessed his interest of sound and electronics into a business building high-end speakers.

 That same curiosity and love of learning carried into his work as an educator. At Lambton College, he shared both his technical knowledge and his broad interest in the world with his students.

 Later in life, he felt called to ministry and became an ordained Anglican minister. His faith became another avenue through which he served others, including his work as a Legion Padre.

 Community service was woven throughout his life. He devoted an extraordinary 55 years to Kiwanis and was involved over the years with many different organizations such as Sea Cadets, Harmony for Youth, and the Royal Canadian Legion. Whether he was teaching, mentoring, serving through the church, volunteering, or lending his skills to a community project, he believed strongly in being involved and contributing where he could.

 His family is grateful to the many friends, colleagues, parishioners, students, fellow volunteers, and community members who were part of his life over the years.

Visitation, funeral service, and reception will be held at St. Michaels and All Angels, 248 Vidal St N, Sarnia (formerly known as All Saints Anglican; also formerly known as St. George’s) on Monday September 21st, 2026.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m.  A reception will follow in the church hall.  Interment will follow at Sutherland Cemetery, Mooretown.

 In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Harmony for Youth at  harmony4youthsarnia@gmail.com or asks that people honour his memory by contributing their time to a community organization that matters to them.
