Rita Koski

Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Monday, August 17, 2020, Rita Koski of Sarnia passed away at the age of 85. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years Unto Koski (2017) and son Kenneth Koski (2009). Loving mom to daughters Ilona (Ron) Hawkes and Erika Hill. Cherished Nana to granddaughters; Kirsten (Jordan) Heisler and Molly Hill. Great grandma to Sophie Heisler. Rita also leaves behind her sister Janina and nephew Tarmo (Denise).

Born in Latvia, Rita came to Canada and became a registered nurse and made Sarnia her lifelong home. She loved books, music and feeding the backyard birds and squirrels. Cremation has taken place and it was Rita’s wishes to be interred along with her husband’s ashes in a private family service. Memorial donations may be made to the Sarnia Humane Society, Inn of the Good Shepherd’s Food Bank or the Salvation Army’s Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
