Robert Thomas Freer

August 12, 1961 – March 14, 2026

Robert Thomas (Rob) (Frito) Freer passed away in Petrolia on March 14, 2026, at the age of 64. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Beloved son of the late Wayne and Vera Freer, Rob was a proud father to Brent (Lori) and Jessie and survived by their mother Sue. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren: Guy, Henry, Dallas, Arden, Hunter and Nolan, Tayah, Austin, Weston, and Aria.

He especially loved watching them in their many extracurricular activities and cheering them on whenever he could.

Rob will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Rick (Mary), John (Shelley), Mark (Gail), and Steve (Neil), and by his brother-in-law Brian (Shelley) and sister-in-law Jayne. He was predeceased by his brother Jim and his sister Barb.

He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, and his longtime friend Jeff Unsworth, who will miss his stories, humour, and generous spirit.

Rob was known for his love of loud music and his ability to bring energy and laughter wherever he went. Thoughtful and generous, he was always ready to share a story and a laugh with those around him.
