Robert Ross Mitton

Robert (Bob) Ross Mitton was born on May 8th, 1963 and died on May 10th, 2023 at Bluewater Health with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Connie (Goodall) Mitton of Sarnia, dear father of Edward Goodall (Maghan), Tasha Mitton (Nate) and Tara Mitton all of Sarnia, the cherished grandpa of Leland Goodall and Alexander Anglehart of Sarnia.  Bob is survived by his grandmother Shirley McLachlen and is the loving brother of Gini Prouty of Sarnia, Dave Mitton (Marlene) of Dashwood, Darryl Mitton (Kathy) of Exeter and Connie Cooper of St Thomas.  He was the brother in Law of Mary (Goodall) Pardo (James) of Blenheim and the son in law of Linda (McLachlen) Vincent of Sarnia and Garry Goodall (Alice) of Petrolia. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive.  He was predeceased by father Chester Ross Mitton, born April 10, 1929 in New Salem, Nova Scotia and died August 24, 1980 and is buried in the Crediton Cemetery, and his mother Roberta Lynette (Field) Mitton who was born on February 28, 1936 in Apple River, Nova Scotia and died September 21, 2004. She was cremated with her ashes scattered on the property she was born on in Nova Scotia, his sister Helen Margaret Mitton-Vincent, born March 2, 1955 in Exeter and died on November 29, 2018 in Exeter, she was buried in Exeter Cemetery, Frank William Cooper born August 17, 1937 in Exeter, Ontario and died December 5, 2005 in Woodstock, Ontario.  His ashes were scattered with Mum in Nova Scotia.

Bob was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather who loved his family.  He loved his dogs, playing with them and taking them for walks.  He devoted several years travelling with his Carter Shows family and was a dedicated employee at No Frills in Corunna until his illness made it impossible to work.  Bob enjoyed many afternoons sitting at Guthrie Park reminiscing about the days he drove the ferry across to Stag Island.  Bob also enjoyed building and painting model cars.  Please join Bob’s family on Friday, June 2^nd, 2023 at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 Victoria Street North, Sarnia, Ontario, N7T 5W9 for a memorial gathering beginning at 10:00 am. A eulogy will be delivered at 11:00 am by Bob’s children Edward, Tara and Tasha.
