Robert Mc Neil

At Bluewater Health on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, ROBERT JOHN STANLEY McNEIL (HOWIE), age 83 of Sarnia passed away. He was the loving husband of the late Geraldine (McNamara) McNeil (2005) and dear father of Bobby McNeil, Chris Cook and her husband Brad all of Sarnia and Cheryl McNeil and her husband Ian White of Oakville. Grandfather of Mary and Katye McNeil-White. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by sisters Jean Powell and Darlene Cook. He was a carpenter by trade and was a long time employee at Prestolite. He was an avid athlete in his youth playing on a number of sports teams including the Sarnia Wanderers. A celebration of Howie's life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (Victoria at Davis St.) on Saturday, September 3rd at 11:00 am. A gathering will be held at Bottoms Up, 607 St. Clair St. in Point Edward after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Sarnia & District Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
