Ronald James Long

LONG, RONALD – At Bluewater Health on Tuesday, March, 7, 2017, Ronald James Long, age 59 of Sarnia passed away. He was the loving husband and companion of Mary MacColl, son of Selena Hurst and one of nine children. He was predeceased by his father James Long. Ron was a member of Boilermakers-Local #128 of Sarnia. Ron loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing and gardening. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #62 (286 Front St. N., Sarnia) on Saturday, March 11th, 2017 between the hours of 1:00 to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Bluewater Health Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank Dr. Crombeen and all the wonderful nurses on the palliative care floor. A special thanks to nurses Cassie and Sarah from C.C.A.C. and a heartfelt thank you to Mark and Fiona and family for their help during Ron’s illness. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J.
