SIM, RONALD WALTER – At St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia on Friday, May 5, 2017, Ronald Walter Sim, age 80, peacefully passed away with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Edna Hannah (Helps) Sim and dear step-father of David Jones (Brenda), Edward Jones (Maria) and Gayle Jones and Carol Weston (Robert), grandfather of Kristen, Meghan (Eric), Alicia (Adam), Shauna (Jay), Sawyer, Amanda and Brian. Great-grandfather of Ava and Allie, Reese, Jordan, Jake and Anna. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Maizie, granddaughter Sydney, grandson Nick, sisters Dorthea (Jim) and Edythe (Byron), brothers Ben (Helen), Bob (Irene), Kevin (Donna), Barry (Margaret) and Ross. Ron was a former member of St. James the Apostle Anglican Church and upon its closing he and Edna became active members of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Point Edward. Ron retired from the Lambton County Board of Education after many years of service. Ron was a volunteer at Marshall Gowland Manor for over 20 years. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 27, 2017 beginning at 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (210 Michigan Ave., Pt. Edward, ON., N7V 1E8). A celebration of Ron’s life will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J.
