Sarah "Sally" McGregor

January 14, 1925 — November 12, 2022

It is with profound relief for mom we say goodbye to Sally McAllister/McGregor. She was a beautiful Mom who has gone to her reward. Sarah “Sally” (Fox) McAllister McGregor was born in Hamilton Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Elizabeth Fox and her sister Elizabeth (Bessie) and her brother Tom and step-daughter Judy Grigg. She served her country in the RCAF in world war two and continued to serve in peace with the Army Engineers and then the 1st Hussars. She retired from the office of Dr. Perchanok after 32 years and then ran two local political campaigns.

Sally was beloved widow of the late Roy McAllister and Clayton McGregor. She is survived by her son Bob McAllister (Jean) and their children: Barb McAllister and Rob (Sarah) McAllister, her daughter Sharon (late Howard) LaPier and her daughters: Karolyn LaPier, Marianne (Darrell) Gignac, Debbie Sawyer (Craig Thomson) and her children: Corine Sawyer and Jamie Sawyer, her son in law Lorne Grigg and Judy”s sons Len (Brandi) MacLachlan, Lyle (Rochelle) Maclachlan and her step daughter Mary McGregor. She is also survived by her greatgrand children Chase and Ceager MacDonald, Ava and Isabella McAllister, Jaxon and Tyson Richardson, Addisson and Thomas Gignac, Brody and Clayton MacLachlan and special chosen grandchildren Laura Binder, Steven Robertson and Halsey, Brody Riesberg, Leanne Leckie-Brown and Darlene Leckie. Sally will be missed by her dear friends Jean Killoran, Sandy Goodacre, Mary Leckie, Mary Lou Mills and her two nieces Sally Preszcator and Rosemary Walczak.  

A memorial legion service will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, BR #62 in  Sarnia at 9:30 a.m. on Friday November 18th, 2022 followed by a receiving by the family from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and officiated by Rev Ian Marnoch.

Sally served her Lord, her country, her community, her legion, and her family well. Donations to Knox Moore Presbyterian Church : 1342  Rokeby Line Mooretown N0N1M0 or on line at knoxmoorechurch@gmail.com or the Branch 62 Legion Poppy fund c/o Branch 62 Front St Sarnia would be appreciated.
