Stewart Gilliland

Peacefully with his family by his side at Bluewater Health in Sarnia on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, George Stewart Gilliland, passed away at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Trisha Sutherland. Dear son of Ethel Gilliland and the late Ernest Gilliland. Fondly remembered by his step-son Mark Barnett (Melony) and grandson’s Allen and William. Will be missed by his sisters Joan Tabbert (John), Ruth Gilliland and brother Donald (Rosemary) Gilliland. Also will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Wanda, and Infant brother Robert.  Stewart loved genealogy, and was an avid animal lover. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Stewart’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, Heaven’s Wildlife Rescue or Cat Chance.
