McCARTHY, TERRI – At St. Joseph’s Hospice on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, Helen Theresa “Terri” McCarthy, age 71 of Sarnia passed away. She was the dear mother to Michael Shepley (Jinna Zheng), grandmother to Angela, sister of Tim McCarthy and committed and loyal friend to many with whom she developed long lasting and caring relationships. She was predeceased by her parents TJ (1987) and Helen (1996). She will also be missed by her two cats, Peaches and Gabby. She was a passionate animal lover, ensuring that no stray cat ever went hungry. She worked in Sarnia for many years in the retail industry and as a personal support worker and was also an avid art lover. The family would like to extend their greatest appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice in Sarnia for the gentle, compassionate and professional care they extended to her. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with the family at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) Friday, December 1, 2017 between the hours of 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 1:30 pm. Interment of her ashes will be held on Monday, December 4th, 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
