In Loving Memory of John Wayne Weiss; November 20, 1948 – May 17, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Wayne Weiss on May 17, 2025, at the age of 76 with his daughters by his side. Wayne passed away in Palliative Care at Bluewater Health after several years in continuing care, where he met health challenges with quiet strength, grace and unwavering dignity.

Born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, Wayne devoted his life to service, spending the majority of his career with the Sarnia Police Service. He retired with distinction as the Deputy Chief of Police-a role he carried with deep integrity and commitment. Wayne was widely respected for his leadership, compassion and his ability to bring both calm and humour to any situation. Wayne will be missed by his beloved daughter, Janet and Heather, along with members of their extended families.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in Wayne’s honour on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 62, 286 Front Steet, Sarnia. All who knew and loved Wayne are welcome to attend and share in remembering a remarkable man. Wayne will be dearly missed and forever remembered-for his service, his laughter, and most of all, his love.
