Wilfred William Postil

POSTIL, WILFRED W. - It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Wilfred William Postil, age 85 of Point Edward on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Bluewater Health.  Wilf was raised on Savoy Street in Sarnia.  He moved to Point Edward in 1965 with his young family.  He never left the Point except to travel to Eastern and Western Canada, Italy, the Carribean and his home away from home Siesta Key, Florida. He enjoyed his involvement in Point Edward minor hockey and Jr. B lacrosse.  He retired from Shell Canada after 41 years of service.  He was the loving husband for 60 years of the late Patricia (Sargent) Postil (2016). He will be dearly missed by his children Murray Postil (Barb), Greg Postil (Brenda), Julie Postil, Patty Stasyna (Steve), and Chrissy McRoberts.  He will also be missed by his eight grandchildren Marcus (Julie), Lindsay (Kyle), Brett (Chad), Josh, Sophie, Karah, Aaron, and Erik and his great granddaughter Blakely. He was predeceased by his parents George and Charlotte and his sister Isabel.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9).  In lieu of flowers any charitable donations made in memory of Wilf to St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) or charity of choice would be appreciated.
