SPENCE, WILLIAM (October 2, 1930 – October 11, 2020) - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of William “Bill” Kerr Spence. Bill passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health after suffering complications from a fall just 9 days after his 90th birthday. Born in Hamilton, Ontario he was predeceased by his parents William and Jane Spence and his wife Margaret (Haddon) 2002. He is survived by his children Bob and Carol, Al and Jan and Terry and Marge, his grandchildren David & Laurie Morath, Daniel and Nicole Morath, Julie and Kevin Contat, Jill Osborn and 10 great-grandchildren, all in the USA. Bill is also survived by sisters and brother in laws – Marg Chalmers, Marion Curran, Helen and Glenn Forbes, Eric and Joann Haddon, Lloyd and Shelley Haddon, Bill Graham and numerous nieces and nephews. He worked at Polymer, Polysar for 35 years. Bill was involved in SMAA Hockey and Sarnia Silver Stick. He was a longtime Montreal Canadien and Detroit Tiger fan and a member of Sarnia Legion Branch #62. For those wishing to memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Br #62 – Poppy Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9). A private family graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery.
