Ruby worked for many years in the E.K.G. Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she was admired and respected by fellow staff members, doctors and patients for her warmth, kindness and humour. Ruby was a true Christian, having been an active member of St. Paul’s United Church and prior to that, Devine Street United Church. She loved playing Bridge at the Strangway Centre with her many friends and acquaintances – enjoying the competition, but more so, the camaraderie. Ruby sincerely loved people – she never judged – everyone was embraced with a cup of tea, a loving smile and her undivided attention. She was quietly doing God’s work. At Ruby’s request and in combination with the current gathering restrictions, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations made to the Huron House Boy’s Home or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N.
